'Til The World Ends
03:54
|

“The time has come, you’re on your own now,”
she said with a heavy heart,
“learned enough to grow up all alone now,
I gave you a head start.”
“But I still need love and reassurance,”
replied the little girl.
“You said you’d take care of me
‘til the world ends,
is this the end?
Don’t leave me, I need you now,
I need you to make it through.
Shouldn’t it be so easy to
hold me in your arms and say
‘Baby, it’s me and you
forever and for always’,
‘cause you know that I need you,
I need you to make it through.”
“New beginnings are around the corner,”
said the woman to the girl,
“but they’ll be without me and your father,
now you’re free to see the world.”
“That, to me, sounds just like bad excuses
to reclaim life you’ve lost,
‘cause you said you’d take care of me
‘til the world ends,
it’s not the end!
And these days it’s not enough
And these days it’s not enough….
I need you to make it through….

Lost For Words
02:59
|
|||
I’ve got words, so hollow in their sound,
only can be heard when no one is around.
I’ve yet to find some paper so
I can write them down,
but it’s hard to ink the letters that
my fingers won’t allow.
And I know that
if you heard just one word
of what I’ve been feeling,
you’d be thinking I’d been drinking
a kind of liquid crazy.
But when I’m around you I
can’t think past my racing heartbeat,
with you, I’m at a loss for words.
Too wrapped up in silence to scream out
the things I’ve kept inside me, the things I want to shout
at the top of my lungs,
suppressed by my self doubt,
gone on too long to notice
how tight my nerves are wound.

Flatlining
03:00
|
|||
Hammering away at life altering mistakes we’ve made,
we can’t take it anymore.
Spending our time looking past flaws we’ve come to think are okay,
who knew we weren’t as good as before.
Going through life trying to find what it is that makes our lives
so alive.
We’re flat-lining oh,
help, we’re slipping into cardiac arrest,
if we don’t do something there will be death,
somebody fill his life with deep regret,
he’s flat-lining, flat-lining,
flat-lining, oh.
Prime time for normalcy sets in when vision’s black and white,
when colour escapes your eyesight.
Moving in straight lines cause circles won’t work with our straight lives,
but we don’t mind.
We’re flat-lining oh,
help, we’re slipping into cardiac arrest
if we don’t do something there will be death,
somebody fill his life with deep regret,
help, we’re slipping into cardiac arrest,
if we don’t do something there will be death,
somebody fill his life with deep regret,
he’s flat-lining, flat-lining,
flat-lining, oh.
